On Saturday we had a lot of fun with Piotr from Diversity Icebreaker. He gave a presentation on using humor to foster relationships and intercultural competence. Check out his Facebook Page and Website, for more information on all the fun he is having.
Then Luca Fornari from IDRInstitute reviewed the project he did with a youth group in Milan and how to use video campaigns to create social change.
“Teenagers reshape their sense of cultural identity (how do we define ourselves in response to the environment) through identification with peers.”
For Latino youth living in Italy, Luca reminded us that, they face 2 journeys: from being an adolescent to adult and from one country context to another.
Check out this moving and touching video to help build leadership in youth, and also a sense of pride of their culture. And encourage them to stay away from alcohol, teen pregnancy and street gangs.

The rest of the day was busy, but I wanted to share two great TED Talks that were recommended:
Sheena Iyengar: The Art of Choosing
And before I forget, on Friday night we had a movie night with Charles Hampden-Turner and Milton Bennett. The PowerPoint Presentation was shared on the IDRInstitute website.
